Roads

This California statewide dataset was downloaded from Geofabrik's free download server for California. This server has data extracts from the OpenStreetMap project which are normally updated every day. To simplify the layer, major roads were exported with the following selection of the attribute 'fclass': 5111 = motorway, 5112 = trunk, 5113 = primary, 5114 = secondary, 5121 = unclassified, 5122 = residential, 5123 = living street.
