NCALM Seed. PI: Emily Kleber, Arizona State University. Wheeler Ridge is an asymmetric east-propagating anticline (10km axis, 330m relief) above a north-vergent blind thrust deforming Quaternary alluvial fan and shallow marine rocks at the northern front of the Transverse Ranges. Thrust faulting is associated with the Big Bend in the San Andreas Fault, ~10 km to the south. These data were collected to investigate how the landscape is responding to variations in uplift rate along the fold axis and better understand the transient response of the landscape due to local rock uplift. Publications associated with this dataset can be found at NCALM's Data Tracking Center
